Fraser Fir (Abies fraseri)

An Aromatic delight and the perfect Christmas tree

The Fraser Fir is also known as Balsam and is a coniferous tree. Fraser Fir is widely used as Christmas Trees because of its delightful fragrance, appearance, strong twigs, and ability to retain its soft needles for a long time when cut (which do not prick easily when hanging ornaments) make it an excellent choice. In the past, it was also sometimes known as "She-balsam" because rosin could be "milked" from its bark blisters.
